Seniors Life Centre

COVID-19 Update

It’s been a challenging 2 years and now the world is opening up, restrictions have been lifted locally and slowly, the federal government is also making changes to restrictions related to travel. Seniors Life Centre is considering doing some in-person fundraising events in summer and fall.

For the last 2 years, we have relied heavily on our digital presence to meet and reach those who are able to help through online donations. We thank you for your generous contributions; thanks to you, we have been able to maintain support for our beneficiaries in Rwanda.

We are pleased to announce that we have launched our Calgary program, helping immigrant seniors who live in poverty and social isolation. At the moment, we are teaming with Umoja Community Mosaic to offer gift cards, allowing our beneficiaries to purchase culturally-appropriate food items. In the next few weeks, we plan to investigate how we might engage with our beneficiaries to co-create programs, bringing all together in community.

Times continue to be tough for many. And we understand that not everyone is able to give right now. But we must ask our supporters to donate whatever they can, whether that is $5, $10, or more – every donation counts. Please accept our gratitude and appreciation in advance.
